Austin Catholic High School strives to develop the whole student. Therefore, academics are only part of an Austin education. In addition to our comprehensive Athletics program, Crusaders have an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of clubs and other extracurricular activities.
Austin Catholic High School includes the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) curriculum to its physical education classes. Students learn safety, along with proper form and technique, from certified teacher and National Archery Association (NAA) trained instructor Lisa Schulz. Without the contributions of the Huron Pointe Sportsmen’s Association (HPSA) in Lenox Township, and its president Joe Burke, the program would not have come to fruition. The HPSA, in cooperation with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, donated new equipment to Austin Catholic. Students interested in joining the Archery Club should sign up with Mrs. Schulz. Beginners through advanced shooters are welcome. For more information, e-mail email@example.com Coaches: Lisa & Eric Schulz.
2018 Regional Winners - Forensics
Forensics is Public Speaking, Monologue, & Acting!
Sponsor: Mrs. Brown
The purpose of forensics is to have fun while learning to deliver a speech, and to explore different aspects of theatrical and dramatic display. Forensics members meet on Wednesday at lunch when the activity bell rings. After school meetings and coaching will also be held, with prior arrangement.
What is R.A.K. Club? R.A.K. is an acronym for Random Acts of Kindness. Mrs. Schulz guides the R.A.K. Club students in spreading cheer throughout Austin’s hallways. You can see their positive messages around the school on valentines and shamrocks during the winter, or during their Breast Cancer Awareness pink sale in October. Their goal is to practice mindfulness and thoughtfulness year ’round. See Mrs. Schulz or a R.A.K. member for meeting and event information. All are welcome!
Following the democratic Augustinian principles of community and mutual help, students have established a student government for ACHS.

The Austin Gaming Club is in its first year. During the 2017 - 2018 School year, we have established an e-sports team that competed in the Michigan High School League Series. We also sponsored our first school-wide gaming competition. During the week of Prom, we hosted a Super Smash Brothers Tournament. The tournament was a huge success! We had 24 participants. The tournament generated a great deal of excitement among the students, and we are looking forward to hosting similar events this year. We are also looking to branch out beyond video games to include board games and table-top games as well.
